A new spell, Glamour (1205), has been released in the Minor Mental circle.
Duration: 2 min, unstackable, refreshable
Self-cast only. The caster enchants their appearance to become particularly appealing to other people. This results in a boost of +20 trading ranks. Training in Mental Lore - Telepathy also confers a bonus to the caster's Influence at a rate of +1 base stat for every 10 ranks of lore.
Note: Glamour is subject to the standard +50 enhancive skill bonus cap, so casters with fewer than 20 un-enhanced Trading ranks will see less than the full 20 enhancive ranks because of how ranks convert to skill bonus.
Soothing Word, formerly in this spell slot, has been moved to 1201. Force Orb, formerly in that spell slot, has been retired.

Yeah, I forgot that stats are +40 and skill is +50. So that should be "not more than 29"...

At 20 ranks, with +20 from the spell, they would count as 40 ranks, 140 skill raised from 90 trained, which is the +50 max.
At lower than that, more skill-per-rank will reduce the amount they see being effective.

That'll show me! (Yeah, I stopped reading partway down through the announcement, apparently. Heh.)
And it looks like it might have been worth the Bard getting some scrolls of Soothing Word, since he actually does have >=25 ranks of ML:Telepathy... but only a 30s duration would have meant chugging through a LOT of charges, to not be subject to Warcries in Reim.
(I had never even noticed that the effect existed in the first place.)
