Hello House of the Revenant Fang folks!
For the next hour, rare metal ingots in the form of flowers have been added to the incidental quest treasure pool! While this is active, EVERYONE can find loot drops from the creatures -- even if you aren't on the kill tasks for them! Happy hunting!

This is frustrating.
I was up at 4am and worked 7 hours after working 90 hours the week before, on a holiday week day, only to find out the bonus time was given out at midnight.
Strong contender in why I don't pay for these things. Feels like overt punishment when people who work off-cycles can get so much extra benefit.

Not that I think this can be done overnight, but it would be interesting/neat if, instead of some of these bonus times being during specific times, they were instead tokens that were account (and/or character) bonded that could be activated at the player's leisure, similar to the point multipliers.
Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.

To further on this idea, so that everyone didn't just roll up a bazillion F2P accounts, maybe have some sort of check for if that account has already done the run at least 1 time (for the current event). So then, it becomes a "hey, thanks for playing!" bonus, not a "hey, sorry you were sleeping" apology...heh.
ie. Any account that has done the event at least 1 time can ask the shadowy agent for BONUS after they redeem a new (2nd) pass and that run will give them the chance at the hour of bonus loot/merit/whatever. However, if your account has not run thru at least 1 time prior to the bonus event being announced, they would not be eligible for it.

TBH I’d just make the “use at any time” token a prime (or premium?) perk to circumvent any potential throwaway account abuse.

I’m with Kythryn on this
Also, I really think it’s worth the team at Simiu recognising that the player base has matured with the game and aren’t all teenagers with no job who can sit around waiting at all hours for a bonus or Special offer to activate. They need to adjust how they offer these things to their paying customers and start being more considerate of the fact that most of their players have jobs and responsibilities.

Not trying to turn this into a disagreement or anything.. And not all players are on say the east coast of the USA, many players are from countries that arent the USA & who pay just as much as we do to play this game. Same with the GMs, not all the GMs were/are from the USA or even near St Louis.
To expect that the staff must run events are say 6pm eastern USA time is ignorant of other areas, say west coast players or Aussie players.
If folks keep complaining then I wouldnt be surprised for the staff to say "to heck with ya'll, I'm a volunteer doing this in my off my RL job time, the only time I can run something is after midnight USA & they just complain about it? Then I wont do it anymore."
I wasnt fond of the time it was run either, nor some of the stuff at HE, but I understood. It happens. Not saying either of ya are complaining but it is coming across as umm a bit wrong. Just my opinion.

I don't think there's an explicit expectation, in fact you're even highlighting the wide range of places where players come from, which is why someone is understandably asking if there can be a wider range of times to do these fun bonus events.
I was lucky enough to be able to catch both, even though I'm EST, but that's because I'm a night owl with work hours that start later than your standard 9-5. I think it's great that there are some bonus events happening that are accessible for PST folks. Asking for some opportunities that are more EST friendly, or any other timezone friendly, are completely reasonable requests. I'm not surprised that some people would like to see the next one being more EST focused given the last two were PST. In the end, the best solution are more bonus times, not less.
Honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if there's a bonus hour or two over the next weekend, since those are a lot more accessible than the weekday ones in general.

I think this is a disappointing reality of what happens if you treat GMs poorly during roleplay events (and it's disappointing that players don't always appreciate what GMs do to make those events possible), but these bonus events happen because Simu wants to keep driving people to spend money. GMs can be charitable and let a bonus event run a little longer if they see some people still wrapping up things during the event, but it's not like the bonus events are as a whole aren't marketing strategies to have players spend more money (which, you know, I end up doing!).
